What is Boomi?
Boomi is a low-code integration platform that is based in the cloud, also known as iPaaS. It allows companies to easily integrate applications, partners, and customers via the web with a visual designer and several out-of-the-box connectors. The Boomi iPasS platform enables customers to design cloud-based integration processes called Atoms and transfer data between cloud and on-premises applications. Each Atom defines what is necessary for the integration.
What is iPaaS?
IPaaS stands for “Integration Platform as a Service.” A term is used to describe a set of automated tools that integrate data and IT systems that are deployed in different environments, including on-premises and in both public and private clouds.
Typically, an IPaaS platform includes pre-built connectors, business rules, maps, and transformations that facilitate the development of applications and orchestrate integration flows.
